At last, we can share some news that has been close to our hearts for months: we are building something new. Something that does not arise from the end of a journey, but from the meeting of stories, people, and missions that have always been moving in the same direction.

The world around us has changed, and not always for the better: at a time when many choose division, we have chosen unity.

Missione Calcutta has begun a collaborative journey with five other organizations that share the same spirit: CEFA – European Centre for Training and Agriculture, Amici dei Popoli, Apurimac, Centro Mondialità Sviluppo Reciproco (CMSR), and No One Out. Together, we are creating something that none of us could have built alone. Terraperta — a Participatory Foundation — is being born.

Terraperta is an expansion of what already exists: everything is coming together to create a greater, longer-lasting, and fairer impact.

The people remain. Our distance support programs and our work in India will continue and grow stronger. The experience built over more than thirty years will not be lost: it will be amplified through the meeting of new shared experiences.

The journey we are taking together:

• Over the past two years, we have worked on shared values, a common vision, a name, and an identity, striving to design this new project together.
• On April 24, 2026, the assemblies of the organizations involved formally voted to establish the new unified entity.
• In the coming weeks, we will begin sharing this joint project on social media, and from June 15 the new website, www.terraperta.org, will be online.
• After the summer, Fondazione Terraperta ETS will officially become a reality. We will communicate through two new channels: our print magazine delivered by mail, and a newsletter to bring people closer both to our long-standing activities and to the new initiatives we will carry forward in 20 countries around the world.
