Missione Calcutta Onlus’ commitment in Kenya begins in 2019, with a project for maternal and children’s health, aimed at improving healthcare services for pregnant women in the city of Maralal.
Mission Calcutta funded part of the construction of a Maternal and Infant Health Shelter of the local partner Find the Cure Kenya, next to the public hospital in Maralal centre.

The Shelter was built with the aim of accommodating women with high-risk pregnancies, mainly from isolated villages and communities who would otherwise give birth in extremely precarious and dangerous conditions for themselves and their babies.

Here, women will be able to spend the last months of their pregnancy with adequate care, assistance and monitoring.
