In the territory of Bergamo, the school support projects of Missione Calcutta, in collaboration with various schools in the area, began in 2021 with the aim of strengthening the educational offer provided in the post-Covid-19 pandemic period.
The pupils of ‘Muzio’ middle school in Colognola are involved, in collaboration with experts from the ‘Genius in 21 Days’ method, in a project dedicated to improving the study method. The activity, free of charge for the students, started in October 2021 and involved 90 beneficiaries.

In January 2022, Missione Calcutta intervened to support about 50 boys and girls from the primary schools “Biffi” in S. Tomaso and “Calvino” in Colognola during homework time, providing them with more tools to strengthen their school awareness, free of charge.
Pupils from the “Calvino” primary school and the “Montalcini” nursery school took part in the Progetto Natura (Nature Project) with botany workshops held by an expert in the field, with the aim of learning while having fun and experiencing the ecological and natural dimension independently. Around 50 boys and girls can thus put into practice what they have learnt at school. The project is also active for the 2022-2023 school year.
But it doesn’t end there!

In the academic year 2022-2023, the initiatives in cooperation with the educational institution were intensified.
Thus begins a Type II literacy course for students at the ‘Calvino’ elementary school, with the participation of around 20 pupils.
Thanks to the ‘Scuole Aperte‘ (Open Schools) project, in collaboration with the Bergamo City Council’s Education Department and the ‘Muzio’ middle school in Colognola, many educational-recreational activities are being implemented, again free of charge for users: homework spaces, activities to strengthen the study method in preparation for the middle school certificate, broad games and photography workshops.
